Reporting a concern or complaint
At ATF, we work hard together with our staff, participants, and the wider community to create fun, supportive and inclusive environments.
Sometimes, things might need to be better and we appreciate being told about any situations like this, so that we can work to put things right.
If you are concerned or unhappy about something, please let us know by using the contact form below. We aim to acknowledge any concerns or complaints within two working days of receipt.
Whistle-blowing
We believe that anyone who raises any type of concern about something happening within ATF should be treated with respect and should not suffer as a result. Some examples of whistleblowing concerns include:
- Any criminal offence (such as fraud or theft)
- Any breach of a legal obligation or duty
- A miscarriage of justice
- A danger to the health and safety of any individual
- Dangers to the environment
- Deliberate concealment of information tending to show any of the above five matters.
How to raise a concern
Usually, the first step is to speak with a supervisor. If the matter cannot be addressed to your satisfaction, the supervisor should refer the matter to senior management.
If you don’t feel able to approach a supervisor, you can raise a concern with ATF’s whistle-blowing officer Mr R Walters: rwalters@atfcommunity.com
Alternatively, you can contact ATF’s Chair of Trustees and Organisational Safeguarding Lead Dr David Sollis: drdavesollis@gmail.com
Concerns may be raised orally or in writing in the form of letter or email.
We believe that any worker should feel confident and able to voice whistle-blowing concerns openly under this policy. However, we accept that some workers may wish to raise a concern confidentially or anonymously.
The Employment Rights Act 1996 provides protection under the law for whistle-blowers, and any whistle-blower will be protected and supported by ATF.
